ABOUT US

Dr. Salem did his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois. He graduated Loyola Dental School in Chicago in 1968 and immediately passed the Illinois State Board Exam.

He joined the U.S. Navy as a general dentist, passed the California State Dental Board exam, and then served one year in Vietnam.

After more years in general practice in Los Angeles, he entered USC's Orthodontic Graduate Program, completing the program in 1974.

While building a practice he became an Associate Adjunct Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at USC.

Dr. Salem currently teaches orthodontics to the doctors at the UCLA Post Graduate Orthodontics Program.

Later he went on to lecture locally and internationally on Orthodontics and the advanced, self-ligating braces called S.P.E.E.D.

He founded the "Doctors Outreach" program to help the financially strapped public school system.

He has recently started a program to help our courageous G.I.s (and their families), serving in the Middle East, receive orthodontic care at substantial savings.  It is called "Straightening out the Military".

Even with over thirty years of professional experience, he feels that he and his staff must take continuing advanced training in areas such as Invisalign, teeth whitening, surgical-orthodontics, implants in orthodontics, periodontic/orthdontic care in order to offer leading edge care.
